Feels like starting over
I almost remember how to do this, writing on a new fangled, coal powered processing machine - it's been a long long time coming !!
After doing a circular tour of a dark and cold Derbyshire last night and frequenting 10 pubs and clubs ( without a drink in sight ! ) which if we had got drinks almost took me back to my student days and revision for exams, although I wouldn't have remembered the last six places, we have now started to arrange some gigs for the coming months. It feels good after being in limbo since early December as did playing in Birmingham on Sunday 28th with Kim.
His first gig with us went really well, the six songs we played getting a great reaction and we were happy with how we played which after a three month break was a relief. I hopped around having torn ligaments in my knee a few weeks earlier and probably looked like an extra out of a Thunderbirds set, if only I had bought a large drink I could have been THE flapper with firkin, but hey I tried my best and although I couldn't move my knee on Monday morning it was well worth it ( I think
)
Now I want play again, so anyone out there that knows somewhere we can play, and I don't mean swings and slides, let us know, or if you run a reputable establishment and want a band reborn then get in touch, we'll rock your slippers AND socks off !
