Here are some of the stats provided by ReverbNation which have been compiled & condensed (by me) to allow month-on-month comparisons for 8 of our songs. We have recently uploaded more songs, so stats on all 17 will be detailed shortly. [See below for information on ReverbNation and how it works.]
Walls continues to get the greatest number of hits. As the song is about the credit crunch in the States, one wonders if the current worldwide crisis is contributing to its popularity! The BBC are currently considering whether there is any opportunity to use the song in one of their programs on the current economic situation.
Over this period, the total number of hits has increased from 677 to 3118 - about 460% by my maths. Not bad going!
ReverbNation.com is a web site, launched in 2006, that focuses on the independent music industry. It provides a central site for musicians, producers, and venues to collaborate and communicate. It provides a widget that allows its members to place content on web pages. A TuneWidget is an option for website users.
It is a free feature that links back to additional content, such as music recommended by the band the widget was created by. A feature called Band Equity measures popularity based on four metrics of its service: reach, influence, access, and recency.
