There's No Smoke Without FIRE!
It wasn't Fairview Studios, but House number 43 where the activity was today. Our website designer was hard at work, helping us to add a Paypal facility to our site. Could only look on in amazement as the pages of coding went on and on - a bit like the endings to some of our songs (on occasion)! Coding doesn't really turn me on but experimenting with colours and manipulating unearthly images for our new album cover does. Without giving too much away before the launch, smoke and fire were thrown into the mix along with lots of other more technical ingredients, such as the use of a colour gradient applied to two-dimensional Perlin noise, modified by a fractal Brownian motion algorithm to simulate turbulence .......so I'm told!
And Hey Presto, the artwork was finalised. It is sooooooooo good - for want of a better adjective - so here are some others. It's ghostly; it's eerie; it's burning; it's blazing; it's raging and it is mighty powerful. And it's imminent! Watch out for details of the album cover - and the 10 tracks of course - on our website and Myspace sites. It's gonna blow you away.

There's No Smoke Without FIRE II
If anyone remembers seeing the funny green rainfall in The Matrix and wondering whether a person can read and interpret code as pictures - they can. We have a stunningly complex image, pleasing to the eye, but one which has been written in code by a human being. Its great watching Pete at work - we nod appreciatively and pretend to understand and suddenly its there. Our interpretation of his original, and great idea. We are going to persaude Pete to put his own profile on the site as he has helped us enormously over the last few years to develop an image - Ted too, our erstwhile drummer and now Front of House engineer will be getting his own page - watch this space!
